It started as NO mission trip ever has before. As you recall, I gave my testimony last night to the entire ENT staff/residents. This morning, they all pulled me aside and the Chief told me, “Dr. Parsons, we all believe in God. And we know God wants you in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Honduras! Will you please come back?!” I told them Begee and I have already had this conversation and we will definitely be back!

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

My surgeries went very well, but all the staff realize it will be a while before they are ready to start doing and teaching endoscopic sinus surgery. I am already busy recruiting sinus surgeons to come to Tegucigalpa. The equipment is now here, we just need teachers coming once in a while.

Our Anesthesiologists had a great day as well. She is all smiles and really wants to make this a part of our future. We had a drink tonight with one of my old residents in Havana. She is now the President of the Honduras Otolaryngology Society. Fun to remember our times in Havana and compare the massive differences with her between locations.

I am going to start a new subfile under Mission Opportunities on Honduras. The invitation letter is already written.

Thank you all for your prayers. They have clearly been answered!

In His Grace, Bruce is working with plastic surgery and dentistry. He loves going to the OR, teaching and being a part of a good surgical team. He feels he is contributing and effective! The ear doctors found a microscope in neurosurgery and operated all day with smiles under their masks! Anesthesia may be the happiest (next to me!). They are having great cases, interested residents and are both feeling that they want to return.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Me… great day! We started with a one year old still at his birth weight. The Pediatric Surgeon asked if we could canulate the fistula between the trachea and esophagus (not supposed to be there!). VERY LIMITED equipment, but we pulled off a phenomenal airway exam, unlike anything they have ever seen before. Thank you Bruce Benjamin! (My mentor when I was a fellow!). Years ago, Karl Storz gave me instruments to take to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Third World. All have been distributed except for one laryngoscope, which was (guess) the perfect size for this tiny baby. All the other instruments I used today were meant for something else, but we pulled off a perfect exam. The anesthesiologist was chair of the dept., and she had never done this type of case. She loved it! Bottom line, the child did not have the pathology that would require a huge, risky, open chest procedure and the Pediatric Surgeon was thrilled that we saved him a difficult but risky operation THAT WOULD HAVE ENDED IN FAILURE! I then taught two tough sinus cases and the faculty are getting the picture. Wonderful!

Begee had a very special day. She met with a large number of professional women and shared what we are doing, why we are doing it, and how God is a part of all we do. She presented the Gospel. She really felt like the women appreciated what she had to present and were VERY receptive! Begee has a very good feeling that she is here for a purpose and God has used her effectively.

Tonight we had a dinner and I was asked to “say a few words.” I asked if I could tell a story, then presented the 10 minute version of my testimony. (No airplanes flying upside down!). I felt like it was very well received, but I was most deeply touched when Mark Vogelhut, grasped my hand, and gently complimented what I said. He is Jewish and that meant a lot to me! God is so good and never stops moving in our lives.

Tomorrow, I have the honor of giving this laptop to the residents. Rich McKnight, a former Vice-Pres of Presbyterian Hospital, makes these rebuilt laptops available to me for our mission trips. It is his ministry, and so deeply appreciated. Thank you, all!

Pray that the messages left by all of us are heard. Pray that the listing ears will hear His Words and come face to face with the importance of this simple sentence that is more important than any other in life, “Jesus, I love you and believe in you and ask you to be in my heart, forever!” Love, David & Begee.

Wednesday, 30 March 2011

My day was great but not so good for others. Bad news first. Drew Horlbeck and Mark Boston are ear surgeons and they can’t do anything without an ear microscope. It doesn’t work and they are out of work! Each deserves special prayer anyway, so pray for them!!! I've asked them to consider going to the BMDMI hospital on Friday.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I didn’t see Bruce today so I have no Oral Surgery news. The Anesthesiologists were all smiles all day long. They finished late so I assume it was a great day. Mark Vogelhut helped me on my sinus case and we had a great time together. A problem we both had was that we had residents with no teaching staff today. I then had to gently reprimand my head of Otolaryngology because we did not come to teach residents. We came to teach the teachers. When we leave, we want our teaching to continue well beyond our presence here. But… we had fun!

We did another cadaver dissection today and the head of Otolaryngology was there and I really let him do most of the dissection with a lot of coaching. The hardest thing about teaching endoscopic surgery is getting them to be able to hold the scope in the right place, move the surgical instrument with the other hand, and do it all while looking in a different direction at the TV! You can see that if you are between the two eyeballs and 1 mm below the brain, that is why we need a lot of practice on someone we can’t hurt! But, overall, my teaching day was great!

Tonight we went the home of the President of BMDMI and had a lovely dinner. We discussed the future of TIME for Christ joining BMDMI’s program, and I think it is a match. We’ll see!

Begee had an unexpectedly quiet day. The attorney was sick this AM and the teachers strike here caused the congress to have to be in session so she didn’t meet the many congresswomen she was to spend time with.

Spiritually, things continue to happen in a quiet but positive way. Please continue to pray that this is a meaningful and significant planting event. But even if it isn’t, what I’ve learned about BMDMI makes me realize this trip is already a major success. Love, in Christ, David & We gave a lot of lectures in each of our Depts today. I spoke on sinus surgery for 3 hours, then saw patients for most of the remaining day. Exhausting but fun. The doctors and residents have a real heart to learn. The facilities are better than Havana, but they don’t believe in themselves, like the Cubans do. Drew and both Marks brought lots of equipment so we are all teaching them in new, state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. They were teary eyed when I told them this new equipment gave them the potential opportunity to function with the best in the world! This even heightened their desire to learn as much as they could. I was deeply touched when the chief resident told me about his conversion to “Christianity” from his Catholic roots when he developed a deep and meaningful relationship with God. He spontaneously told his testimony in front of one of our non-believer team members. Now is this reverse evangelism or what!!!! The opportunities are joyously opening. Begee had a slow but successful trip today but meets with the former Minister of Health tomorrow, while am meeting with the current MOH! Then she has scheduled meetings with professional women the rest of the week. Pray for Begee! More manana! Thank you!” (For you non-TIME readers, this is a shock!) There is a very nice kitchen with refrigerators/freezers, etc., for the team. Finally, we learned about BMDMI’s structure with opportunities at this facility for surgeons of all types, anesthesiology, dentists/oral surgeons, nurses, pastors (none of whom need to speak Spanish) AND translators! Medical doctors and all the support personnel they would need go in “Brigades.” These are teams that go to schools that close just for these teams and are converted to clinics just like TIME. Some are in small cities close to 20,000 all the way to rural schools out in the country side that are not even in villages. We then toured their home facility where medical teams enter and leave and it is more beautiful, clean and comfortable than any mission facility Begee and I have ever seen. They want what TIME has been doing but would need slightly smaller teams. Their preference is one week but it can be longer, depending on the time of the year. Cost is $750 for one week plus airfare to and from Tegucigalpa (ours was $715 @). That cost includes everything including transportation. Begee and I both felt so strongly about this that we are convinced we will return trying to organize people from TIME, especially the translators!!! Those of you who have been saying, “Two weeks is too long,” or “It is too far,” or “It is too expensive.” These won’t fly!!!! I see great opportunities for audiologists, the ComCare solar rechargeable hearing aids, OT/PT, lab and xray techs, pharmacists, dentists and hygienists, and pastors (sounds like TIME doesn’t it!). The two specialties that they have seen almost none of are ENT and Eye! They really want what the Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Assoc. team has to offer!!!! The BMDMI ministry is frankly staggering. They have The Good Shepherd Children’s Home for 150 children so a children’s ministry is important. They have a pastor’s school training up to 15 pastors at a time. They have planted over 120 churches. There is a construction ministry and on and on. If you do something… they can find a way to use it! Right now, if this interests you, write me at parsonsdav@aol.com! Our other anesthesiologist arrived today, Steve Mendoza. I am exhausted! In His Service, David & Begee

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://parsons-ministries.blogspot.com/2011/03/special-day-27-march-2011.html' title='Special Day! Carolina Medical Center gave us hand instruments for all types of ENT surgery, but especially, everything needed to do complex sinus surgery. Karl Storz Endoscopy had already given a large airway surgery equipment donation with airway endoscopes, laryngoscopes, bronchoscopes, etc., but when I realized we had no TV system for teaching (mandatory to teach a sinus course because the tip of the surgery instruments are deep in the nose, and watching my hands move outside the nose teaches NOTHING!), David Gray immediately put together a High Definition Endoscopic TV system for us. (David! They do have a HD monitor!!!!) Wow! With the exception of the HD TV camera, all the equipment is a donation, so after we’ve taught a week long sinus course to the 17 staff/residents, they will be able to continue to develop their skills doing modern sinus surgery. If this is a good experience, and we want to return next year, we can refine their skills, and teach more advance techniques. As you will see, my blog will mostly deal with ENT issues but we also have 2 Anesthesiologists (Mark and Steve), an Oral Surgeon (Bruce) and a Neuro-Otologist (Drew and that big word means ear surgery and base of skull/neurosurgery), and Lisa and Begee. I will report later as their role becomes more defined. Ooops! The plane is leaving! I’ll write more later!!!!!

Landed safely in Tegu and comfortably at the Marriott. More later. In His Service, David & Begee

Trip to Honduras 26 March-2 April 2011

Hello! This is an invitation to join Begee and me on an exciting first trip for us to Tegucigalpa, Honduras. We leave in 4 days and are being joined by 5 others:
Drew & Lisa Horlbeck from Jacksonville, FL. Drew is a Pediatric Neuro-Otologist (Ear surgeon) and Lisa is a nurse.

Mark Vogelhut and Steve Mendoza are Anesthesiologists.

Bruce Albright is an Oral Surgeon.

The guys will be working at the teaching hospital for the medical school in our specialties. Begee will be working with a team of women with CCCI.

If this is a successful trip, we hope to go every year with a large, multi-specialty team. Hopefully, we will have great need for non-medical types who have a real missionary spirit. Begee will give you follow-up on this as she works in this women's ministry!

Your prayers are deeply appreciated. This lovely family sells the Polo shirts to me for $3, etc. We love coming here as they always remember us!!!!

We are on our way to the airport and today has been the roughest of all... shopping with Begee! Wow! She has vast amounts of energy... and I thought she was frail! I'll send more fun photos when we hit Korea. The trip has been FANTASTIC!!!!!! The nursing staff is exhausted, according to Lien, so they must be working very hard in Da Nang!

A breakdown occurred in communication and Marcy may have had a day off. Lien left for England so our team is without the usual support as we prepare to leave. After 14 years, this is the first time we departed as a team alone!

Walter’s illness is definitely better. He went to the doctor and has better meds than we had in our suitcases! He stayed in bed again today, but his fever is gone. This alone may allow him to fly home with us. The rules have changed and you supposedly can’t get on an airplane when ill.

At Gia Dinh Hospital, I had great day. We did three surgeries with 4 doctors getting to show what they’ve learned. I am thrilled. They all did very well showing a real grasp of what we have been trying to teach. In my parting speech, I told the hospital leadership that the young doctors were not only good surgeons, but were now prepared to teach sinus surgery. This is one of our goals. Mission accomplished! Tonight we go out together for traditional Vietnamese food.

No photos today as Begee has the camera. She is out having fun. Tomorrow we fly home but have many hours to shop before departure. I will be off to get my $3 Polos! :o) I’ll try to report on the rest of the team as I see them over the next 12 hours. Last night we went to Binh’s home. This was a very special event as two attending surgeons come to her home to be with her family. It was extremely rewarding for us, as well. Marcy joined Begee and I as Binh was in both of our homes last year in the States. This night was entirely social but seeds have already blossomed so this was an evening of encouragement!

This is Male Minh but his family was sick on this evening. I haven't heard from any of you in a while.

Today I was alone at Giu Dinh Hospital. I went there last year and found it a very progressive hospital with a young faculty and a great desire to learn. They have some equipment, which we contributed last year, but no powered instrumentation. I will try to find donations for them next year, if possible.

The Vietnamese have asked me to come twice in 2010, and this will be a serious matter of prayer.

I haven’t heard from the team members in Da Nang or Hue. Walter is not feeling well and stayed in bed this AM. He is doing better this evening. I don’t know the cause but we are constantly reminded that no matter how good some foods may look, we have to abide by the time honored tradition of no uncooked veggies, thin skinned fruits and NO ice. Kathie was down for 24 hours last week and she felt ice was the cause.

Begee is doing wonderfully. She is being invited to the hospitals as the staff really wants to get to know her. Time for bed! Our first grandson! Love to you Kaleb and we pray your day is wonderful! Flat loves traditional Vietnames coffee, especially before surgery to calm his nerves. He gave me an "A+!" Since his Mangosteen, he has been without a fever or cough!

Here he is eating his Mangosteen. Loved it! He hasn't had any sinus problems since eating this!

So much to say… what a great day! A day of the best of everything. Last night, Begee and I had dinner with a former fellow. The conversation was extraordinary… exactly what we wished to hear. The individual is extending influence to family, friends, colleagues and parents! PTL!

On the way home we renewed our friendship with a tiny family store with great Ralp Loren golf shirts (not a spelling error but a quote from the lable) for $3.30 @! These, shirts are as good as the $76 look-a-like in the States, which have correct spelling!

This morning was surgery and we did four cases. The highlight of any teacher’s professional life is seeing former students who have excelled in the subject taught to be better than the teacher. Minh (our first fellow in 1997) is an extraordinary sinus surgeon and performed an extremely difficult frontal sinus dissection, and it was the best I have ever seen in 22 years of doing/teaching/watching this new surgery. It was done in front of a closed-circuit audience of 40 ENT doctors. So exciting! The Marcy did a sinus case and I was again thrilled and proud!

We had a very special lunch today and dessert was mangustin or mangosteen with a special tea for patients with liver disease! (Begee was with us and she was thrilled)

The afternoon was again lectures. Dr. Marcy Bothwell and I spoke. Marcy was a medical student and resident under me at the Univ of Missouri. She has blossomed into a wonderful surgeon, teacher and leader. We are blessed to have her on the team.

Wonderful day and Begee continues to be healthy and happy. She spent an hour today, one on one, with Dr. Dung, one of the most dynamic leaders in our specialty in all of Asia. We are happy!

Love to all! D&B

Monday, the second week.

I'm sorry, I forgot my camera today. No photos! I received a complaint from Madison Grace, our Granddaughter, that I have not included photos of our Vietnamese "children and grandchildren." She is right; you all are "related!" I will get better as the next three nights we will be with "family."

Today, the entire southern team is at the ENT Hospital in HCMC. It is the most advanced facility in VN and I have to keep reminding myself that 14 years ago, nothing plugged-in in the OR, ICU, etc. They had never seen an endoscope or heard of FESSurgery. Now they are superb. We saw patients all morning and will begin a sinus course this afternoon with doctors from the city and provinces viewing lectures, then tomorrow watching surgery on closed-circuit. The teaching opportunities have extended way beyond the walls of the hospitals. What a blessing. We lecture again tomorrow afternoon, then I go to a different hospital while everyone else stays here.

Medtronic equipment was distributed here today and is such a smashing success! What a blessing to have corporations that contribute so heavily to Third World medicine and health care! Our brothers and sisters at home are so loving!

On a separate note, I am giving a morning devotional to our American teammates based on what we are doing in our men's ministry at home.... How phenomenal God's love is for each and every one of us. It is easy to forget, so easy to feel we have to do works to earn it, but how constant and unchanging it is. What an encouragement it is every day! The trip is great and Begee is doing wonderfully. She is so glad she came. Here are photos of Flat Stanley having fun on his vacation in Da Nang, Vietnam. After going to perform the jazz concert (he is quite a singer you know, and speaks many languages!), he rested and drank some Dragon Fruit juice. It was excellent! After a good night’s sleep, he went to the beach and collected seashells, including a starfish. Then he sunbathed and finally went for a swim. He is a very good swimmer and did many flips in the waves! He even snorkeled. We hope your classmates enjoy hearing about his wonderful experiences in Vietnam. Soon he will be doing surgery in Ho Chi Minh City with me and he definitely will do some serious shopping with Grandy. Love! GrandyDaddy :o)

Ancient Vietnamese saying, “ Invest in a man and you invest in an individual; invest in a woman and you invest in a family; invest in a teacher and you invest in a generation!”

When we go to Mexico, I tell our participants to keep their eyes open, because they will definitely see miracles. We have not seen as many in Vietnam but today was miraculous! Let me tell you the story. Craig and I planned a wonderful morning of sailing in the Pacific. But last night, Craig received a late night call that a friend of Lien’s was ill. Craig arranged care and gave medicines. This morning, there was no wind and the ocean was quiet. Bummer, no sailing! “Let’s go have a great breakfast!” There was Craig’s patient. We ate with him and soon, his friend came by and we had a great conversation. There was the exchange of business cards, and his said, “Director General, Vietnam International Education Development, Ministry of Education and Training.” This man was extremely knowledable about REI (our organization) and helpful since its inception. He was the President of Hanoi University. But now he is in charge of nursing education and is very desirous of finding ways to improve nursing in VN. Our goal is identical! We called Elaine and Aja (our professors of nursing) and they came for an hour’s exchange of how we could jointly accomplish our very similar goals. Alleluia! No wind!

More Flat Stanley

<img style="WIDTH: 320px; A weekend retreat away from the pressures of teaching surgery, lecturing, hosting, listening intently to poor English... and we did it in Da Nang at Furama Resort. Above is my dear friend, Craig Hedges from Sioux Falls, SD. We've done annual trips together in VN since '98 and Cuba since '2000. Here we are on a 5-star, PGA approved, Colin Montgomery golf course having the golfing nuts golfing outing of a lifetime.

Here are our caddies (required)!

On the left of the picture is the Pacific Ocean and on the right is a bunker from the "American War!"

Our hotel is lovely. Begee is viewing the Pacific. This is a weekend for us to treasure. In the not to distant future, we won't be able to afford these accommodations, but for now, it a vacationers dream and very inexpensive.

Tomorrow half the team flies to HCMC and Craig goes to Hue and the nurses work here in Da Nang. Craig is thrilled because he gets to give phenomenal donations to the University Hospital. The ENT Dept is unbelievably poor with NO modern equipment at all. Medtronic and Karl Storz have contributed heavily with surgical equipment for modern sinus surgery and airway surgery. He will train the doctors all week giving them their first opportunity to do endoscopic work.

Begee and I, Walter Lee, Marcy Bothwell and our one anonymous nurse will be in HCMC. We witnessed the second building being hit. Vietnam will always be marked with that memory.

It is fun that our Granddaughter, Hannah's 6th grade class is viewing the blog. Hello everyone!!!!!! We are safe and having a wonderful time!

No photos today as it is bedtime and we don't have a very good internet availability. We said a huge number of good-byes today then caught the plane south.

Da Nang is fascinating in that little has changed since the "American War." The revetments are still lining the taxiways, and there are fighters lined up, but they appear to be Migs.

We checked into Furama, then went for a swim in the Pacific. We are on China Beach across from Monkey Mountain.

Walter Lee arrived last night from Duke and Aja came in as well but I haven't met her yet. Kathy is ill with "the bug" so they both stayed in Hanoi. Sunday the team divides and half of us go to Hue and half to HCMC. I am falling to sleep so more tomorrow (after golf!!!!!). These are extremely special moments with conversations based on their 3 months experience in our home. We can only pray for growth!

It is Thurs eve and we are so excited as each day the relationships continue to ripen and the discussions deepen. Each team member is reporting joy and excitement. Nothing unpleasant is occurring! The Haiphong experience was extremely good and everyone returned with a very upbeat attitude, feeling it is a real possibility for the future.

Begee is doing extremely well and is very happy. If she has any down side, it is that she shopped till she dropped today! When I arrived back, she was full of fun stories with renewed friendships in the market. "I see you nex year!"

I had a wonderful day starting with the presentation of the Gold Laser to the Director of Bach Mai. Then we did three surgeries and I gave a very productive lecture. The patient's families always give me a huge bouquet of gorgeous flowers, so each day I come home with three of these giant floral arrangements. The room is filled, the hotel lobby is filled, I even gave one to a complete stranger from Australia!

The good-byes are lovely. The nursing staff and teaching faculty so deeply appreciate what we are doing. At the farewell moment, there is always a good moment to say why we are really here! I don't think I am allowed to tell you the amount of the gift but it is 6 digits and is the first ever Gold Laser in Asia. MedEnergy out of New Orleans contributed this state of the art equipment and the little 6 yearold girl above was the first patient. She had her tonsils and adenoid removed and she was a great patient! We spent the morning teaching about the laser, then did two cases. The second was the worst sinus case imaginable. I never see them this bad in the USA. Gross!

We went to dinner tonight with one of dearest friends and former fellows, Quang and his wife. How things have changed. ALL the doctors used to be so poor. We were his guests at a lovely restaurant near where he grew up (near the heart of our bombing in the early '70's). He is now the boss and drove us in his Mercedes. This points up the need for us to move on. He and I discussed the need to move our teaching to the more rural medical teaching centers, such as Haiphong. I have not seen the rest of the team since their return, but Quang told me their experience was extremely good. We will need to discuss this with Brian Teel, Cliff, Chuck and the other REI team doctors. Guys! We need to talk and plan about the future!

Tuesday, 8 Sep 09

Medically, everyone is reporting wonderful experiences. The medical arms of our goals are being met and we feel we are being very effective. In our relationship building, I don't know how anything could be better. Conversations are deep and meaningful. Tonight we all went to a small dinner party with the leadership of the National ENT Hospital. Begee and I feel honored as the Director and one of the Vice-Directors were our fellows, Quang and Can. We are having intimate time with both during this week.

Marcy and I lectured today at the National Hospital and the audience was very large and very responsive. The surgeries went very well for both of us. Craig reports the same.

Elaine and Kathie are part of the nursing team. They are breaking ground with the different hospitals in Hanoi. Here they are meeting with one of the nurse leaders here in Hanoi. The entire team except Begee and I will go to Haiphong tomorrow to break ground for a new effort there. Craig is leading the team and we will learn a lot from this visit. Below that is a photo of Dr. Marcy Bothwell with Uncle Ho. We never give a lecture anywhere without his presence!

Begee is feeling fine except for the heat. 90+ temp and humidity. I did 2 sinus surgeries and it is interesting because we are now on our 2nd generation of students... our first students are now the leaders and these are their students who have become the teaching staff!

Every night this week we will be taking out our former fellows, except Tues. when there is a big banquet. I said a huge # of hello's today and the friendships are so deep and trusting. Returning is a wonderful blessing.

Jet lag not too bad, but we are busy! More later. Thank you for your prayers.

In H Service, David

Sunday night, 6 Sep

The pagota on the Lake of the Sword, just outside our hotel. This is a photo of one of the lectures given last year. All of us will be lecturing, starting tomorrow and most audiences are about this size. Our nurses have the roughest and most challenging schedule. They are facing issues that are typical of what the surgeon's faced in 1996 when we felt changing things was next to impossible. 14 years later, we seen the phenomenal progress made by the academic medical communities of Hanoi, Hue and HCMC. Basic nursing issues are almost unknown here, starting with hand washing! We've brought a great team but they are facing a monumental challenge!

The team has arrived in Hanoi!

9 of the 11 have arrived safely and the other 2 arrive on Thursday. No one had any unfortunate experiences with travel. Today is Sunday and we slept late as there is no church that we know of that we are able to attend. Begee is feeling reasonably well with just a tiny bit more fatique than the rest of us are experiencing. She is blaming it on the heat, which is a problem.

The Vietnamese food is great, the streets and shops are fun, Sword Lake (Hoan Kiem) is as fascinating as always and we are very affectionately remembered by our friends (many of whom Begee and I regard as our children) and the hotel staff (who remembered us by name as we walked in!). Lien and Long are on top of everything, as always!

Of the 9, all are vets from prior trips except Marcy Bothwell. Marcy was a medical student and ENT resident with us at Missouri and later did her Peds ENT fellowship with Rod Lusk in St. Louis. She has helped us with other Vietnamese Fellows in the past, so she is not a complete stranger. For the other team members, go to www.parsonsministries.org, home page.

For those of you who have been here, we are going to El Fresca tonight (a great favorite of our team's... the best Texas BBQ, in of all places - Hanoi - owned by Australians!). Jet lag not bad... yet! I can't get photos to upload. That is enough for now. Thank you for your prayers! Vietnam is such a richly beautiful country with amazingly resilient people. Our hope is that you will be touched by what you read, and be our constant prayer warriors. I will try to get photos of the team for you to go along with what is on http://www.parsonsministries.org/ homepage.

We are already running into major stumbling blocks from nursing and team funding, to having to transport graciously given equipment at the individual team member's expense. All signs of the times. But the opportunity to serve is as wonderful as ever and we won't be held back. Thank you for your prayers! (And wish me luck with blogging!)
